Job Summary :
The Barista is responsible for serving and preparing cold & hot beverages with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer, maintain highest quality & consistent product standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide a welcoming, engaging and friendly environment to all customers; engage with new and regular customers
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as specialty coffee and teas.
- Provide menu assistance to customers to get them what they want while serving them efficiently to maintain appropriate customer flow.
- Make product recommendations, highlight various brewing methods and upsell other menu items.
- Sells and serves products to customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Train & give continuous product knowledge for the captains and waiters , how to sell the drinks and how to do up selling with the matched ( drink & sweet) and how to promote for the best selling items .
- Participates in all sales promotions effectively and efficiently.
- Safely handles all hot and cold drinks during drink preparation.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and all resources needed for the bar.
- Make sure that bar area is fully cleaned as per the internal standards.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures, and reports any potential safety hazards to the manager on duty.
- Informs the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies.
- Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards.
- Follows all company drink recipes and procedures.
- Works special events, as needed.
- Maintains positive company morale.
- Performs any other duties related to his job as assigned by the Direct Supervisor.
Job Specifications :
- 1-3 years of experience in coffee shops or coffee houses.
- Positive, customer -friendly attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Obsessed with product quality and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
